In Good Taste
The Winter Edition
A curated list of what’s caught my eye, peaked my interest, made me curious or left me inspired, this month:
This Chile Crisp Fettuccine Alfredo with Spinach recipe by New York Times Cooking — My son, Luca, quite after my own heart, loves a creamy bowl of fettuccine; this one, with the hit of spice and fresh bite of spinach, sounds delicious
Might make it (the fettuccine, that is) while listening to a new favorite playlist as of late, “A Nancy Meyers Kind of Mood”
Been wrapped up, all month long, in this Chappy blanket, gifted to me by my sister over the holiday; it’s the perfect ‘desk’ blanket and ever so chic (I have the light grey, midi herringbone)
I bought a few new candles back on Black Friday that I’d been saving; this one has been burning daily in the kitchen, which is right off of my office, and smells light, with a gentle sweetness
Reading Ina Garten’s Memoir this month — not quite going to finish it by the end of the month, but that’s okay. I’m enjoying the slow pace of reading it.
After nearly six months behind the keys, designing and strategizing, I launched our latest template collection (the best on the market, in my opinion). See it here and snag it for yourself if you’re launching, selling or marketing *anything*.
Sending off this month’s batch of ‘favorite photos’ from my phone to print here. The paper quality is really lovely and I keep stacks of 4x6s in an oatmeal linen box that Luca regularly enjoys flipping through (admittedly, I do too).
A follow that always inspires — peek into Nancy Meyers’ daughter’s carefully designed, curated and built from the ground up home, “This Oak House”; she just moved in, after years of work, earlier this month!
A new software I’m testing out this quarter and so far, I’ve really enjoyed it — I’m using it to map out content, track inquiries and organize my intentions + goals each month.
Been on the lookout for a wide rimmed, glass vase for a while now (especially for droopy tulips in the spring) and sourced this one a few weeks ago.
The Fisherman Aesthetic has swooped in and captured my attention — have you seen or heard about it yet? Should we design a brand + website experience inspired by it?! Who’s in?
A small business money plan that’s honestly been so helpful (after all, I am *not* so much a ‘numbers’ girl) — catch the recording!
And, there we have it — the first official send off of this new column, “In Good Taste”. As you wrap up this month and look forward to the next, I hope you’ll have found something here that inspires — perhaps a romantic dinner for two, after the littles are asleep, testing out a new recipe (fettuccine feels fitting) one night in February?
