Lately, this April
A little catch up
If you didn’t know, I am a mum to two wonderfully energetic, darling little boys and wife to the European boy.
And we’ve had the busiest season of entrepreneurship, maybe ever.
I think we launched 10+ websites in the last quarter?!
So, in the midst of very full, busy days, how about a little chit chat, catch up?
We’ve changed
somea lot of things over at Studio Stefan.
When you are a service provider, it feels natural to show up for everyone else — and not yourself. We give, time and time again, to our clients. Strategic ideas, curated considerations, brilliant feedback, dedicated attention, magnetic designs. We ideate, draft, execute and publish work that helps them scale sustainably.
But, for our own brand? As you might relate, it doesn’t generally get the same level of attention.
Which is why, earlier this year, I decided to do something about it. After nearly ten years, so much needed to evolve and change if I wanted my business to also scale more sustainably.
It’s been a long, but intentional process.
So far . . .
We’ve revised our offer stack, curated a fresh creative direction for our brand, updated our brand identity visuals, switched to a new client management system, set up and developed new SOPs, curated a more intentional onboarding experience for clients, re-wrote a lot of our messaging, revised our marketing strategy, changed our social media handles, designed fresh pages on our website . . . and so much more.
We’ve been documenting so much of it here on substack — if that sort of thing peeks your curiosity, feel free to subscribe . . . more entries to come soon.
We’re the busiest we’ve ever been.
First and foremost, that’s an incredible sentence to type.
In entrepreneurship, you simply never know what to expect. We’ve certainly had plenty of months and years when I’ve wondered if my business was going to fold. Would the clients come? Where did they go? Why are things so slow? Will our bills get paid? Should I start applying for work elsewhere? What am I doing wrong? — It’s not lost on me what a gift it is to be busy with work we love doing, that supports my family and that serves some of the most incredible people in entrepreneurship. I’m ever so grateful.
That said, phew. It’s busy! Wonderfully busy.
We’ve had the most requests in a single quarter for Custom Website Design than ever before. Quite literally shocking to me — and yet also, so deeply fulfilling. We’ve booked dozens of Edit Days (our design intensive model that is so impactful)— again, more than ever before (and no, we aren’t running any paid ads for any services). I think we have 6 on the calendar for May so far? Wild and so exciting. And then of course, several more Search Engine Optimization projects, Creative Direction & Development for Brands, Consulting Calls . . . so many things we love doing for clients, all booked and keeping us tapping at the keys.
If you’re interested in working with us, we’re always so delighted to hear from you. Reach out here to inquire or book a complimentary advisory call here. (And, hey, if you do, you’ll get to see how our entire onboarding process from inquiry to booked and beyond has been enhanced. Exciting!). And, with that, it feels important to note that we’re currently booking for June and beyond, with a few May dates available for smaller projects or Edit Days.
We’re enjoying spring days.
Spring is always a sweet time for our family. So many special days throughout the spring that remind us what a gift this life is — birthday’s, anniversaries, weekends in the garden, early morning soccer meets, bike ride’s through town, farmers markets and so much more. We’re savoring it all, and I certainly hope you are too.
So, there you have it, friends. A little catch up.
Hope you enjoyed hearing what’s happening in our little neck of the woods. Would love to hear how you’re doing, too. As always feel free to comment below. I read every single message or comment that you post (usually over an espresso from my European boy).
