Month in Review
Thought I’d do a bit of a month in review — but on the goals I’d set for myself this month. Tracking progress, celebrating wins and remembering what we set out to achieve, do, be — it’s so good for me. So, here we go:
A few personal goals I set for myself this month:
15 Minute Morning Stretch + Workout (3x per week)
Write an entry, even if it’s short and scribbled, every single day in my notebook
Read real pages (this month’s stack: Ina Garten’s new memoir, “Be Ready When The Luck Happens”, Emily Henry’s “Funny Story” and a solid business read, “Buy Back Your Time” by Dan Martell) daily
Cook nourishing meals (discovered a very simple recipe for a Mediterranean Frittata and have made a version of it weekly this month — sometimes with zucchini, other days with mushrooms and asparagus)
Skincare — the truth is, I’ve never had poor skin, but I’m nearing 35 and realizing that I’d like to settle into a healthier, more consistent routine for caring for my skin (Collagen infused face masks at night have been such a treat once the boys fall asleep).
Along with a few business goals:
Track everything more regularly — from website analytics to inquiries to subscriber count and everything in between; give me all the data! So far, Notion has been a helpful tool in staying on top of data tracking.
Post 3x on Substack and Send 4x Email Marketing Newsletters — very happy to say, I’ve surpassed this one already! It feels so good to write. Posting on social media has never felt fully authentic to me; I just have never really been able to achieve a rhythm there. But, writing! To you! Yes. Loving it.
Pay off all business taxes and any business debt from 2024 — done! So grateful that we were able to do this quicker than I anticipated. 2024 was, quite difficult financially, so I’m relieved we’re off to a more positive start this year.
Update some back end systems, canned e-mails and workflows. Still have some work to do here, but we’ve got a few days left before the calendar page turns so I’ve not given up yet. But, alas, this one is a bit of a doozy because I have big visions for what I’d like our backend processes to look like and well, it’s a significant endeavor (I personally write every single task, e-mail, note . . . you name it. And I plan to keep that up!).
How’s your month been shaping up? Can hardly believe we’re nearly one full month into the New Year. Have to say, it’s been an inspiring, busy start for us . . . but I’m excited for what’s still to come.
Off we go, into February!
